The static rows use 2.5c, one of SMSGlobal's own published Australian rates, as a worked example1, not a rate anyone is promising you. GoHighLevel's built-in rate for Australian numbers is about USD 5.15c per segment2. The two columns are billed in different currencies by different companies, so they sit side by side rather than netted off, and the $19 monthly app fee sits on top of whatever SMSGlobal bills you.
What is a segment?
Carriers bill SMS by the segment, not by the message. One segment is 160 characters of the standard GSM alphabet. Go past that and the message is split and sent as several segments, each billed separately, which is why a slightly-too-long message can quietly double your cost.
Nothing you type here leaves your browser. Merge fields count as the literal characters shown, so a long first name can push a borderline message over the line.

A single emoji or a curly quote pasted in from a word processor switches the whole message to Unicode and cuts your allowance from 160 characters to 70. Segments are also counted per recipient: a two-segment message sent to 500 contacts is 1,000 billable segments. Characters marked as extended in GSM-7, such as the square brackets in this sentence [ ], count as two.

Questions
Does my existing SMS channel keep working?
Yes. Sendrelay adds a separate composer channel called Sendrelay SMS. The built-in channel keeps billing through GoHighLevel's phone system until you change your location's default.
Can workflows send through Sendrelay?
Yes. Sendrelay adds its own Send SMS action to the workflow builder. Drop it into any workflow, write the message, and pick which of your SMSGlobal senders it goes from. The send is logged on the contact's conversation. GoHighLevel's built-in Send SMS action is a separate action and stays on its own phone system.
Will replies show up in GoHighLevel?
Yes, if you send from an SMSGlobal virtual or dedicated number and set the inbound webhook URL on that number. If you send from a verified external SIM, replies go to that SIM's handset and never reach the app.
Can I send MMS?
No. MMS is not supported in v1. An MMS send arrives as a failed message with a note explaining why.
What does SMSGlobal Error 1056 mean?
SMSGlobal's content filter rejected the message, usually because of links, email addresses, or payment wording. Rephrase the message and send it again. The app never retries a rejected message, so you are never billed twice for it.
I just opened my SMSGlobal account and cannot send. Why?
New Freestyle accounts can only send to their own verified numbers until SMSGlobal lifts the limit, and credit purchases can sit in manual review. Contact SMSGlobal support to clear both before you go live. The troubleshooting guide walks through it.
What rate will I actually get?
That is between you and SMSGlobal. They publish their Australian plan rates, which currently run from 3.8c down to 1.6c per SMS as volume rises, and they negotiate wholesale rates on Commercial accounts. Confirm your own rate with SMSGlobal before you plan around it.
Who do I pay?
You pay SMSGlobal for the messages at your account's rate, and you pay Sendrelay $19 USD per month per location for the app after the 5-day trial. Two separate bills, from two separate companies.
